Our investment philosophy is inspired by the thoughtful design and security of the shipping container. In the 1950s, Malcolm McLean invented the standardized container in use today. It dramatically reduced transportation costs, cut theft and damage, and delivered enormous efficiency gains in logistics — enabling the sprawling global supply chains that expanded the scope and speed of international trade. Standardization reshaped industries from manufacturing and retail to agriculture and mining, with profound and lasting effects on the world economy.
